This product is most suitable to be applied on Automobile and Motorcycle s exhaust pipe, boiler and its pipeline; and any other needs for high temperature coating for up to 500 °C.

3. Standard Procedure of Coating Application


 


 Wipe on solvent à Brush wash with solvent à Let for 5 to 10 minutesà Apply DFR-P50 Black High Temperature resistance coating (Spray or Brush) à Let for 5 to 10 minutesà Bake for 30 minutes at 180 °C


   Application Requirement


1.      Coating DiluentPlease use special blend diluent for DFRR-P50 Black


2.      Coating Viscosity10 ~ 15 second (using NK-2 cup)


3.      Coating Pressure 4~5 kg/cm3


4.      Coating thickness 20~30 µm


5.      Baking condition 30 minutes at 180 °C


6.      Coating diluting capacity 30 to 50 %


 


4. Precaution before Application    


 


1.      Please wipe clean the objects before application


2.      Please make sure that the coating is well stirred.


3.      Please make sure the compressor is well maintained.


4.      After wipe with solvent, please make sure that the to be coated object is being coated within short period of time to prevent oxidation and forming rust.


5.      Please keep the lid on after use to prevent air moisture from entering the container.


6.      Please let the plate sit for 1 hour after application so that the surface of coating is level before any experiment.


7.      Please let the objects sit for 8 hour before the 500°C high temperature resistance test.


 


5. Coating Storage


 


1.      Please store in an ventilated area out of direct sunlight, keep at room temperature for up to 6 months.


2.      Please keep a rule of first in first out when using the coating.


 


6. Other Precaution


 


Similar as other coating, when using this coating, please wear goggles, respirator, and latex glove, if your skin and eye got into contact with the coating accidentally, please flush with lots of water, attend the victim to medical service as soon as possible when necessary.

High Temperature resistance



Coated experiment plate exposed under 500C for 24hour, check its cohesiveness, appearance, color, and any detachment.



Cohesiveness, appearance, color maintained,  NO detachment.



Heat Cycle Resistance




  1. The coated experimental plate is place in an oven or 300C + 9C for 10 minutes, take it out for 20 minutes, then out in back into the oven again, this is 1 cycle. Do this for 10 cycle

  2. After the 10th cycle, do another cohesiveness test, check its appearance, color, and check for any detachment of the coating.

Cold temperature test



Coated experimental plate placed in a fridge for 2 hour at -10C+2C, take out and sit for 1 hour at room temperature, run a cohesiveness test, check its appearance, color, and check for any detachment of the coating.

Storage Stability



Initial Viscosity 45 sec (NK-2 cup), place at 65 C for 5 days, cool down back to 28C, viscosity only up 1 sec. To 46 sec.

8. Comparison of DFR-P50 Black 500 with Imported coating, XYZ

Color Depth (BLACK)



DFR P-50 is much darker than XYZ



Application Effeciency



DFR P-50 can be applied in Single coat, XYZ need to be applied two coat; hence DFRR P-50 is more efficient in application and economical.



Impact Resistance



500g weight at 40 cm height Impact, there is no crack to be found on DFR P-50, but there is crack found on the XYZ.



Water Resistance



Simmered in 40C water for 48 hour, no significant changes on DFR P-50, but the there is significant loss of glossiness on XYZ.



Salt Water Vapour Resistance



There is minimum coating detachment on DFR P-50 but, major detachment, bubbling, and rust occurred on the XYZ plate.



Hardness



At HB Pencil hardness, XYZ fail the test and the coating detached, but DFR P-50 has no significant effect.



CONCLUSION



DFR P-50 is performing better than all the requirement, even the existing import product such as XYZ.
